Retail NI Reminds everyone that The Spend Local cards cannot be used after 19 December 2021.
Any funds remaining on the cards, including any refunds that go back on to cards after this date, cannot be used
Consumers
In the last week of the scheme consumers are advised to accept a credit note/exchange where possible as there is no guarantee that a refund will be put back onto the card before the scheme closes.
Retailers
Retailers should advise consumers how long it will take for refunds to go back onto their card and highlight the risk that the refund may not be back on the card before the scheme ends. Where possible, retailers should offer a credit note/exchange.
